Photos and Images

Pisoni requests access to your photo library solely to allow you to select images for compression and to save compressed results. Your photos are processed entirely on-device using on-device AI — they are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any external server. Compressed images are saved only to your local photo library or the app's on-device storage (SwiftData), at your direction.

Subscription and Purchase Data

If you upgrade to Pisoni Pro, your subscription is managed by Apple's App Store and processed through RevenueCat. RevenueCat may collect certain device identifiers and purchase transaction data to manage your subscription status. Farnit OÜ does not receive or store your payment details. Please refer to:

Analytics and Crash Reporting

Pisoni does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash reporting SDKs beyond what is listed above. We do not track usage behaviour, session data, or in-app actions.

4. On-Device Storage

Compressed images and metadata about your compression history (such as file sizes and dates) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you remove the app.

Where GDPR applies, our processing is based on:

• Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)): providing the core compression functionality you request when you use the app.
• Contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b)): fulfilling the subscription you have purchased through Apple's App Store.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as described in Section 3 (subscription processing via Apple and RevenueCat) or as required by applicable law.

7. Data Retention

Because all data is stored on-device, you control retention entirely. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are subject to their own retention policies.

8. Your Rights (EEA / GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request rectification or erasure
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability
• Lodge a complaint with Estonia's Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee)

Since Pisoni stores no personal data on our servers, most requests are fulfilled by deleting the app. For any other requests, contact us at farnit.com/#contact and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

Pisoni is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

10. Security

Because all processing and storage happens on-device, your photo data is protected by iOS's built-in security model, including device encryption. We do not transmit your data and therefore cannot expose it to server-side breaches.

11. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Estonia and the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Pisoni after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
